Claymore Vets run by Maria Salazar is a new non-profit focused on healing veterans through the primal medium of clay. Salazar, who is a veteran, artist, and soon-to-be art therapist, has made it her mission to heal others through the same medium that saved her! Claymore Vets has been able to reach and aid veterans who are battling, PTSD, physical, mental, and emotional injuries, addiction, and homelessness. Since its conception, Claymore Vets provides a safe and supportive environment and is an integral part of therapy and recovery for veterans integrating back into society; expanding their expectations of themselves and the possibility of new and fulfilling futures.
For the months of February & March we are showing Claymore Vets and it founder that we believe in the power of the arts and the ability to rehabilitate our nations veterans from whatever struggles they face through creation and community!
